Homer Foundation 30th Annual Picnic

HYSOC is very proud of Maggie Mae Gaylord for leading this performance. We are so pleased that Rosy Kauffman returned to join us for this concert. Our sound was supported by a strong Bass thanks to Juda Klann. Sophie Williams, Isla Klann and Rei Beams put in a lot of work to learn new songs and advance their music reading skills for this day. Daniel Christ added his flare with several musical tags and some smiles.

Our involvement in this function was to thank the Homer Foundation for their large donations to the OPUS/ HYSOC programs. Many attendees of the picnic took the time to thank the musicians directly and thank OPUS for having such a program in our community. Their skills were noticed. The Pratt Museum director was attending and asked if the kids could come play for a First Art Friday event at the museum some time. Homer Foundation members were impressed that they performed their playlist twice to fill extra time and keep the music going. HYSOC was represented very well thanks to these kids!

Kim Fine spoke on behalf of OPUS and officially thanked Homer Foundation for their support. Katie Klann and Lisa Schallock were close by in the crowd for musician support.
